Great palace and an excellent little tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and easy to be with. Tours at 4pm and 5pm. El Pinky bar a great place to eat and drink while waiting for the tour! Loved the town.
Impressive. Worth a stop
Loved it . Also the city.
An absolute gem of Spanish baroque architecture with an incredible collection of frescoes. I was unaware of the existence of this palace in such a small town. The history of Spain is wonderful (although they insist on not studying it) and from this great sailor Álvaro de Bazán, it is exciting.
I am very grateful to the people who show the museum for their passion and love in telling it. You only charge the will of three euros, of course I recommend giving at least €10.
You have to find out about the schedules, they usually teach in groups at o'clock.
It is surprising to find this Renaissance palace with Italian airs in the austere Manche. The entrance fee consists of a voluntary contribution of three euros for maintenance work, which is not enough for what you see inside.
The visit lasts approximately one hour, which is enjoyable with the guide's explanations and can be completed with a visit to the church.
The hidden Renaissance gem of this country. Property of the Marquisate of Santa Cruz and rented at the symbolic price of 1 peseta to Defensa (Armada), the palace built by Álvaro de Bazán in a place equidistant from Madrid, Cartagena, Cádiz and Lisbon (the Ciudad Real town of El Viso, just a few kilometers from Despeñaperros) offers a rich collection of frescoes, oil paintings (most of them copies of great works by, for example, Titian, exhibited in the Prado and Escorial), and top quality materials in all its rooms that leave the viewer speechless. visitor.
3 euros entry fee voluntary contribution and very complete guided explanation. Prior reservation essential.
Mandatory stop for lovers of History (Modern Age) and Art History (allegation to mythology and conquered coastal cities on its walls). Simply spectacular.
Most emblematic place in the municipality. It is undoubtedly a mandatory place if you are in La Mancha. A palace of enormous size, with paintings from the Italian Renaissance, and which serves as a museum of the Spanish Navy. The Marquis of Santa Cruz stayed there, known for being undefeated in battle. The explanation of the guide, Andrés, was very pleasant, it was very easy to understand, with very interesting and enjoyable information.
A little piece of Italy in the heart of La Mancha.
And listen to the guide, don't fall like me.
Essential.
We went and returned from Madrid in the day.
It is mandatory to reserve in advance. €3, which seems very cheap to me for what they offer.
Maybe, since there is so much to see, they go a little fast.
